To the left, we have a chocolate flower created entirely out of my own truffle dough. The pearl in the middle is edible.
To the right are sugar cookies decorated with two tone icing and finished off with hand-cut fondant. The wings were created by rolling thin fondant into teardrop shapes and layering one on top of the other to create a 3D affect. The beaks and eyes were created with food coloring.
The above two pictures are my layered 3-D cookies. I make shapes out of the dough and layer them, then bake them like that. I then take food coloring and a brush and hand paint the raised cookie area. To the right is an elaborate sugar cookie. the base is icing and then hand painting the background and tree with food coloring, and finishing it off with edible glitter and gems.
