I first fell in love with Italy when in 2015, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the charming and magical city of Assisi, tucked away in the mountains of northeastern Italy, with the Assisi Performing Arts on scholarship. I was taken with the architecture, food, and people, and it quickly became one of my favorite places. I later visited the next year again, with ILAR Academy, the cities of Viterbo, Soriano, and Tarquinia.
In Assisi, I had the rare opportunity to premiere a solo violin composition composed by a very talented pianist and musician Valentin Bogdan. The piece is called "La Strada", and was written with the idea of someone sitting on a street and watching the many different types of people walking by.
