I have had the pleasure of meeting Dennis Hyams back in 2009, when I first heard Deb's Soliloquy aria from his new opera Golden Arrow, which had not yet been premiered. I was completely enamored by the rich textures and glorious orchestration of Mr. Hyams' music, and instantly fell in love. I became lucky enough to sing the lead role, Deborah Arden, in the premiere of the opera in 2009. It was a tremendous experience for me. I have sung selections of Dennis's beautiful art songs, some of which are included on the bottom of the page. It is rare indeed to be able to live and talk to such a genius as Mr. Hyams.
